All that said, you also really shouldn't worry about melding anything until you hit 90 and start doing at-level content, because when your item just do the mudra this is a little worthless because: a. Skill speed is rarely useful for ninja anyway; as another commenter mentioned, it doesn't affect your mudras, so offers less benefit per materia slot to ninja than almost any other job in the game.
